We headed to the Museum of Contemporary Art on Sunday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. I'm excited about the new tempo in the space. There are a LOT of exhibits so we focused on the main area on the fourth floor.
Blerd loved this work. I didn't catch the name but we spent some time talking about it. It looks like something from a spy movie apprently *mom shrug*
There are so many works in each exhibit it's nearly impossible for an amateur like myself to keep up. In other words, sorry I don't know the names of most of the artwork in these images.
Another work and captivated blerd. Here he's listening to the voices coming from the mounds. If your taking kids to the museum this one is sure to be a crowd pleaser especially with it being October.
The moments we learned it was real popcorn in that barrel. Legend has it someone ate a handful. Other must-see with kids in tow.
While I was taking selfies with Khabrim's mom on the fourth floor, the sons caught a dance performance in the first-floor lobby. Blerd grabbed a phone and reenacted some of the movements. He did the same in my room when we got home. I loved watching him jerk and slide in the lobby pretending to be part of the performance piece. I can never tell what will move him these days, While we waited for our sons to pull the car around, I worried about walking out into the rain, wondered when I will get to visit Nigeria and my siblings, and settled on being grateful for the momentum. I am HERE.
